Renaissance - Canadian Warmblood

Renaissance, barn name Mya, is a 2002, 16hh, Chestnut Canadian Warmblood approved mare by Rastar. Rastar is a Furioso bred Rhinelander with a known ability for throwing pretty movement. Planned 2009 Breeding

Mya will be bred to Tacorde this year for a late May 2010 foal. Tacorde is a son of Concorde, out of a Keur Goodtimes mare. Concorde was named "Horse of the Year" in Holland for 2003, and he is considered the number one producr of jumping horses in the USA. Additionally, Concorde is one of the top ten producers of show jumping horses world wide.

Tacorde is a competitive Grand Prix jumper, he moved up to the 1.40m classes in 2008 at HITS in Arizona and continued to place top 10 in every class for the remainder of the year. His 2007 accomplishments include a 3rd place win at the 2007 Spruce Meadows Indoor competition at 1.15 and 1.20m divisions.

Tacorde is a proven producer, who stamps his foals well. They are generally of good substance, with a great short back and powerful hindquarter. Additionally, he is known for producing chrome on his foals, with the combination of Mya and Tacorde...this foal is sure to be a fancy candidate for the jumper or hunter ring.

Renaissance's parentage information

Renaissance is sired by Rastar a Furioso bred Rhinelander stallion. He is best noted for producing horses with jumping talent, and his offspring are competing in the hunter ring mostly. Rastar was born in 1986, and is now deceased.

Mya's maternal sire is Kodachrome (pictured below left), a Canadian Warmblood stallion. Kodachorme is a successful upper level jumper who was sold to the US in 2003. He is now a rising star in the hunter world of the East US Coast. Kodachrome is a proven producer with a wide range of offspring competing in both the jumper and hunter, in Canada and the US.

Kodachrome is sired by the world famous KWPN pinto warmblood stallion Art Deco. Art Deco is a grand prix dressage horse who put up excellent scores during his competitive career. He is a well proven stallion with get competing in both dressage and jumping, although he is best known for producing excellent moving dressage type horses. Art Deco has superb movement, with amazing extensions. He is pictured below showing off his amazing extension ability, likely the most well know photo of him.
