Apex Warmbloods

Kosette is our 1992, Grey 16.1hh KWPN mare by Uniform (Keur Preferent KWPN approved stallion), out of a Pacific Sunet (Polydor) mare. Kosette enjoyed a successful dressage career, and was retired sound from the show ring in 2004. Kosette was campaigned by a young rider in her later years and was a solid fourth level mare. She is a lovely mover with great extensions and freedom of the shoulder. 

Kosette is a proven producer with the following offspring achievements:

- 2006 KWPN filly by VDL Navarone was the Champion foal at her KWPN Kuering inspections.

- 2007 KWPN filly by Freestyle was Reserve Champion at the Canadian Warmblood Foal Futurity (no KWPN Keuring in Alberta that year).

- 2008 colt by Freestyle was Reserve Champion Dressage Foal at his KWPN Keuring & placed 3rd out of 17 foals at the Canadian Warmblood Foal Futurity.

 2010 planned breeding: Kosette has been bred to Dreamscape Farm's newest stallion, Rubinus. He is a 16.3hh, Black son of Rubinstein with a fantastic Holsteiner mare line going back to Rouletto and Montevideo. We think this match will produce a great foal candidate for upper level dressage. The addition of the "R" line should make a really nice amateur mount, with the athletic ability for a professional as well.

Ellosette - 2009 KWPN filly by Sagnol. Ella is a very correct filly with super movement. She is being shown Sept 19th at the Alberta Foal Futurity (there is no KWPN keuring in Alberta this year).

Celeste - 2007 KWPN filly by Freestyle. She was Reserve Champion at the Canadian Warmblood Foal Futurity, in the absence of a KWPN Keuring for Alberta.

Brierly - 2006 KWPN filly by Navarone. She was the winner of her KWPN foal Keuring.

 She is started under saddle, and shows excellent promise to be a competitive dressage mount. She was bred by Kim Aasman, prior to our ownership of Kosette.

Kosette is by the world famous KWPN stallion Uniform. Uniform is a keur preferent KWPN stallion, and he had one of the highest breeding indexes in Europe. He was the champion of his performance test in 1981, getting exceptional scores for dressage (9.5), jumping (9.5) and a perfect 10 for temperament/trainability. Uniform is the sire of over 30 Grand Prix offspring, including Gestion Junior ridden at the Grand Prix level by Anky Van Grunsven.

Kosette's maternal sire is Pacific Sunset. Pacific Sunset is a 100 day tested Westphalian Stallion by Polydor. Pacific Sunset was sold to the US, after standing in BC, and is a well known producer of top eventing horses.  Polydor is a world renouned stallion with a lengthy list of accomplishments and very accomplished offspring with a noted talent for jumping.
