This 2010 foal by Rubinus, pictured left - photo courtesy of Dreamscape Farm, should be an excellent dressage type foal from our KWPN mare Kosette. Rubinus is by the infamous Rubinstein, out of a stunning Holsteiner mare line including Rouletto and Montevideo. Rubinus has three incredible gaits, with a very fluid, uphill canter and he is a proven performance sire. Kosette is a lovely mare with good build, movement and is also a producer of quality foals. We will be keeping a filly from this crossing, but will offer a colt up for sale.
Kosette is confirmed in foal, due July 1, 2009.

We are sad to report that after many breeding attempts this year, we do not have a Rubingon foal coming. The good news is that all of Jirtuose's breeding health exams have determined she is fit to carry a foal, we just didn't have any luck this year! Additionally, we will have a Rubignon baby coming in 2011 but it will be out of Kosette instead. Jirtuose is going to be bred to a more local warmblood stallion to avoid extender, which she seems to have a reaction to. We are thinking of Freestyle or a new stallion to Alberta by Feurst Henrich.... Please stay turned!

This 2010 foal by Banderas will offer some of the best jumper bloodlines available today. Banderas is by highly sought after jumper producer Balou du Rouet, by international show jumping sensation Baloubet de Rouet (shown by Rodrigo Pessoa). On the dam side, Banderas offers maternal sire Grannus, one of Germany's most successful sires with over 5 million in DM earnings. Grannus horses are international competitors and olympians, and Grannus himself has over 60 approved sons. Additionally, his dam pedigree offers the Elite stallion Beach Boy, who stood at the Flyinge Stud for many years because of his valuable bloodlines and talent. He has several successful approved sons in addition to an array of offspring competing on the international scene.
On the dam side, Romantic offers the legendary Ramiro/Alme combination. Her sire Radjah Z, was an international show jumper, imported to the Flyinge Stud after his career for his value as a sire and then luckily imported to Canada. Radjah Z has several approved sons, offspring in the international ring, has sired olympic finalists and has offspring competing all over Europe, Australia, Canada and the USA. This foal will have the bloodlines to make a fantastic jumper prospect, and may be for sale.
Romantic is due July 10th, 2009
